CONNECTING PAIN AND SOURCE

The Healing Journey Continues

Mother moon wakes me. 2 AM! She shines through my bedroom window onto my face and I feel intense pain in my jaw and shoulder and an aching heart and cannot sleep. I get up. Make coffee with change ease honey tincture, thinking okay this is just PMS. But earlier in the day I received some information about a recent relationship that ended and this put me back into a negative state of thinking. I sought out facts and in doing this I heard rumors and I let this stuff sink into me again. I let the information open the old wounds I worked so hard to heal.

The pain in my jaw and shoulder is lessened by drinking six glasses of water and then doing deep meditation, which for me often includes prayer. Each of us can find our connection to the deeper self. Being able to give our problems to a higher power and asking for help is vital to holistic healing.

From a body perspective, the pain I have may be associated with the gall bladder. The gall bladder is the partner of the liver and the two work in unison to insure that toxins and waste are removed. From an emotional perspective, the gall bladder is considered the guardian of the heart and the liver is the seat of anger and forgiveness. This makes a lot of sense to me since I have taken too much to heart over the past year and have been unable to access my anger; instead taking on all the blame. I have been walking around with a heavy heart.

There are many ways to work with imbalance of Liver/Gall Bladder Chi, one of which is acknowledging your feelings and allowing for change to occur. Holding onto negative patterns, especially around heart matters, has an immensely negative affect on the physical body. Forgiveness is truly healing and necessary on so many levels. Another is doing a gall bladder cleanse using lemons and olive oil and then adhering to a healthy diet that does not tax the body with waste.

Lemons are one of the most alkalizing foods we can eat. I try to add a lemon to my diet everyday. I squeeze lemon juice on everything, including water. Lemons are excellent for both liver and gall bladder issues. The color yellow is symbolic of the third Chakra, an energy center at the solar plexus where development of the ego sits. A healthy ego is important to ourselves and those we love. Having a weak or overdeveloped ego can create huge imbalances in relationships, making very negative partners as one continually tries to dominate the other.

We can take on a lot of what is not ours and find ourselves in power struggles, but we can move on and access healing. Let go, allow change, be in the flow where you are your true self. Each of us has our path all leading to Spirit.

Letting go of old patterns takes time, especially when we take on stuff that does not belong to us. I separate what is mine and what is not mine during meditation. I visualize it as darkness and send it back to the source. I cut cords at my chakras to others and maintain an open compassionate heart.

Healing comes when we address the many levels of who we are and then act form there. There is no separation between the Mind and the Body, and inside we are all pure Spirit. We are all connected by this spiritual force. Make this connection and you are well on your way to being whole again.

Love and Charity
